Description

1-5 Park Street represents the remaining eastern end of a terrace of buildings situated on the south side of Park Street, likely dating from the mid-19th century. Numbers 1 and 2 are two storeys in height, while the remaining houses rise to three storeys. The buildings are constructed of yellow brick, with number 1 having a whitewashed exterior. They are topped with slate roofs and have eaves. Each house features two sash windows, incorporating glazing bars. Small, three-light canted bays are present on the ground floor. The doorways are round-headed, featuring a recessed order, and contain six-panel doors. These buildings are included on the list as part of a group alongside other buildings in Park Street and extending to numbers 2 to 18 (even) on Wellington Road, with the exception of St Paul’s House.
