Description

This is an early 19th-century shop and hotel. It was later divided in the late 19th century to include a shopfront on the right-hand side. The building is rendered with quoins, has a Welsh slate roof, and brick stacks. It is three storeys high and has six bays, featuring sash windows with glazing bars set within moulded raised surrounds. A round-headed archway, moulded in detail, provides access to a courtyard at the rear. A doorway has been inserted into the left-hand window to provide access to the hotel. The rear elevation of the hotel is clad with West Somerset slates, and a round-headed staircase window with glazing bars is also present.
