Description

This is a doctors' surgery with a shopfront, dating to around 1800, and featuring a 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of red sandstone random rubble masonry with a Welsh slate roof, a moulded cornice, and brick stacks. It is two storeys high, with a basement. It has three bays. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with a tripartite window on the ground floor; to the right is a 20th-century plate-glass shop front. A central wooden Tuscan porch with a gable is partially glazed; it has a pilaster doorcase with an open pediment and fluted capitals. Cast iron railings return at the street level, leading up the steps to the porch.
