Description
No 14 High Street is a house with a shop that dates back to the 17th century, featuring an early 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of cob and roughcast, topped with bitumen-covered roof tiles and has a large rendered stack on the left side. It is two stories high with two bays; the first floor has sash windows while the ground floor has casement windows. The right half of the facade projects slightly forward due to the shop. The entrance to No 14 is located in the next bay to the left, which is part of No 16. The door features a reeded surround with decorative paterae from the 1830s. Originally, No 14 and No 16 were one building, but No 16 has been altered significantly, leaving only the door to No 14 intact.
