Description

No 15 is a house dated 1829, located on the east side of High Street in Wiveliscombe. The building is rendered with a steeply pitched slate roof, and the left return elevation is slate hung. It has three storeys over a basement and is one bay wide. The house features sash windows with glazing bars and a late 19th-century shopfront. Access to the door is provided by cantilevered stone steps supported by cast-iron brackets. At street level, there are spear-headed cast-iron railings. The keystone of the second-floor window is inscribed with "J.I.Y. 1829". This building is primarily noted for its group value with other structures on the east side of High Street.
