Description

The Dispensary is a building that dates from around 1800 and is now converted into flats. It features red sandstone random rubble masonry and a Welsh slate roof, along with a moulded cornice and brick stacks. The structure is two stories high and has one bay on each side. The windows are glazing bar sash types, with tripartite windows on the ground floor. There is a concreted cross-passage in the center, with the date 1800 carved in stone above the door. A rear entrance has a stone inscribed with "B.B. 1799." The Wiveliscombe Dispensary opened in 1804.
