Description
Bridgwood is a house and shop, now functioning solely as a house. It dates from the 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features a pantile roof with coped verges and end brick stacks. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has three bays. The windows are 2 and 3-light casements, each with a horizontal glazing bar and cambered hood openings. The attic windows are located in gabled dormers that have decorative bargeboards. There are two door openings, each with 6-panelled doors, where the top two panels are glazed. The door to the left is flanked by shop windows containing 28 and 24 panes respectively, each under an exposed wooden lintel. The window to the right is likely a replacement.
