Description
The Chalet is a house from the early 19th century, featuring stucco that is scribed to resemble ashlar stone. It has end pilasters, a hipped slate roof with wide eaves, and rendered stacks with moulded caps. The building has a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features French windows with glazing bars. The central door openings include a five-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed. A tent-canopied verandah supported by ornamental cast-iron brackets extends along the ground floor, with a short section on the left return in a similar style. To the right, there is a section of rubble boundary wall topped with dressed stone. The forecourt is enclosed by cast and wrought-iron railings with urn finials at intervals, set on a low rubble plinth. There is a gateway to the left, with each pier made from a single slab of Dolomitic conglomerate, leading to a railed wrought-iron gate.
