Description

No. 53 Garston Street is a weaver's cottage, part of a row, dating from around 1750. The building features roughcast walls and a pantile roof with coped verges and kneelers, along with a brick stack. It is three storeys high and has two bays. The entrance has a square-headed moulded stone door surround with a moulded drip-hood above, leading to a four-panelled door. To the right, there is a sash window with exposed sash boxes, and on the first floor, there are two smaller sash windows. The centre of the second floor has a wooden casement window.
