Description

No. 50 Garston Street is a weaver's cottage that dates from around 1700. It is constructed of Doulting Limestone rubble with freestone detailing, and features a brick stack and a modern pantile roof with a coped verge. The building is three stories tall and has a single bay. The door opening has a chamfered square-headed architrave with a massive lintel, and there is a hollow chamfered drip moulding above it. The door itself is made of planks. To the right of the door, there is a poly-vinyl chloride top-hung casement window set in a plain stone surround. On the first floor, there is a three-light mullion window with a relieving arch above each light, and above this, there is another poly-vinyl chloride casement window.
