Description
A pair of weaver’s cottages, dating from around 1700 and remodelled in the 18th century. The cottages are rendered and feature a scribed surface designed to resemble brickwork. Number 47 has a coped verge detail and a panelled pilaster. A brick stack punctuates the facade, and the roof is covered with modern pantile tiles. The cottages are virtually identical in appearance, with three storeys each and a single bay. Each doorway has a moulded stone surround, and the ground-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, similarly framed with stone surrounds. The first and second floors feature matching window arrangements.
