Description
The Welsh family chest tomb, located in the churchyard about twelve metres south of the nave of the Church of St John the Evangelist, dates from around 1800. It is made of sandstone with blue lias panels. The tomb features a ledger top, a moulded cornice, and a plinth, with fluted columns without capitals that divide the bays. The tomb is inscribed on three sides, with the earliest legible inscription being for Robert Welsh, who died in 1808.
