Description

Kibbys is a farmhouse that has been converted into a hospice. It dates from the late 17th century and was later extended and altered in the mid-19th century. The building features roughcast over cob and rubble, with a steeply pitched clay tile roof. There is a higher block on the right with a gable front set halfway, overhanging eaves with sprockets, and brick stacks at the gable ends of the left block, set in from the right gable end and the first bay on the right.

Originally, the layout consisted of three cells and a cross passage running from northeast to southwest, but it has been extensively altered internally, with a one-bay addition at the northeast gable end and an extension at the rear. The structure has two and one-and-a-half storeys with a façade of one to three bays. The left side features a 20th-century two-light casement window, while the other windows are two-light casements with three or four panes and marginal glazing bars. There are three gabled dormers on the right, a ground floor plank door on the left, and three windows to the left and two to the right of the entrance. The entrance has a depressed four-centred arch opening with a half-glazed door that also has marginal glazing bars.
