Description
Holt Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble lias and features a double Roman tile roof with coped verges. The building has a central ashlar stack with a moulded cap and end brick stacks. Designed in the Jacobean style, it has a three-unit and cross passage plan with a wing at the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with three bays. It features two and three-light stone mullioned windows, each with casements and glazing bars. There is a continuous weathered string course above the ground floor windows, which steps up over the door opening. The door opening is located to the right and has a plain dressed stone surround, with a plank door that includes glazed panels.
