Description

No. 23 Lime Street is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features a roughcast exterior that is scribed to resemble ashlar, and has a pantile roof with a brick ridge stack. The symmetrical front has two storeys and two bays, with three-light metal casements and leaded lights. There is a central door opening with a six-panelled door. Inside, the ground floor includes a broad open fireplace on the right, which has a wooden bressumer, and next to it is a wooden winder staircase. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a 19th-century fireplace with a cast-iron surround.
