Description
This barn, located about 14 metres north of The Priory, is likely from the 18th century and may incorporate earlier elements. It features ham stone ashlar ends and squared rubble on the west wall, topped with a thatched roof between stepped coped gables. The northern gable has a gabletted finial, while the southern gable includes a block sundial. The west elevation is a single storey with an attic and consists of six bays. It has shuttered windows under timber lintels, which are from the 20th century, in bays 1, 3, 4, and 6, with similar windows in swept dormers for upper bays 2 and 4. Bays 2 and 5 have boarded doors set in heavy frames. On the east side, near the south end, there are two buttresses, and there is a first-floor doorway on the north gable, also under a timber lintel. The interior is not accessible. The barn has group value with The Priory, as it is connected by a gateway and wall.
