Description

A row of seven houses on Bampton Street, Minehead, dating from the mid-19th century, with Nos. 34 and 36 being slightly earlier in the 19th century. The houses are built with painted render over rubblestone, and have slate roofs with brick stacks on the party walls and at the right gable end. Each house has a double-depth plan and two storeys, with a two-window front. Most houses have 6/6-pane sash windows. Nos. 24 and 26, Nos. 28 and 30, and No. 32 feature bolection moulding to their paired 6-panelled doors, which have long and short rustication, keystones to the architraves, and shared cornices. No. 32 also has a similar door to the left. Nos. 34 and 36 have narrow hoods on brackets over their 6-panelled doors, which are located to the right and left respectively, with smaller 4/4-pane windows above them; the window to No. 36 is a 4/4 pane. The interiors of the houses have not been inspected.
