Description

Tooses Farm House is a farmhouse dating from around 1650. It features painted rubble walls and a 20th-century pantile roof with coped verges. An ashlar stack rises through the left side, and there is a concrete stack at the center. The building has a cross passage layout and is rectangular in plan, standing two stories high with two bays. The windows are mainly mid-20th-century casements, except for a two-light ovolo moulded mullioned window on the right side of the first floor. The central doorway has a heavily chamfered stone architrave with a 4-centred head, leading to a mid-20th-century plank door. There is also a 4-centred arch doorway at the rear. Inside, the farmhouse includes a wooden segmental arch doorway and a moulded cross beam ceiling in the room to the right of the cross passage. There is a wing at right angles to the rear.
