Description

Hele Hill House is a house from the early to mid-19th century located in Bradford-on-Tone. It is constructed from squared and coursed local stone and features a flat string course band and a patterned clay tile roof that slightly extends over the end. The building has an L-plan layout facing south and consists of two storeys with a total of six bays, arranged as 1:1:4. The left end bay is lower and includes a two-storey addition with a wooden two-light arched casement window. The other windows are 12-pane sash windows, with French windows in the second bay from the right. There is a single-storey verandah with a patterned clay tile roof and inserted glazed sections that fronts the four bays on the right. The main entrance is located at the right return gable end, featuring an ornate gabled cast iron porch. This house was likely built around the same time as Hele Mount to the north, which is not included in this listing, for another member of the Easton family.
