Description
The Thatch is a detached cottage with an outhouse, likely dating from the 17th century and has been reshaped over time. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a thatched roof featuring near half-hips and brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has a variety of small-pane and horizontal-bar casement windows; the window in the lower bay two has a label, while the others on the ground floor are set under timber lintels. Between bays one and two, there is a boarded door in a heavy frame beneath a stone lintel. The east gable features a two-bay continuation that is single-storey and at a safe height, with tall casement windows under timber lintels. Between these windows is a stable-type door in a heavy frame, and there is a 20th-century window in the east gable. The interior has not been seen.
