Description
Manor Farmhouse, now divided, dates to the 17th century. It is constructed of red sandstone rubble, with a colourwashed facade and a triple Roman tiled roof. A large, external stepped stone stack is located on the gable end of the facade, with tiled offsets, and a brick stack is on the left. The original plan comprised two rooms to the left of a cross passage, with a service wing to the right, which is now a separate dwelling and has been significantly altered.
The two-storey farmhouse has irregular fenestration. On the left side of the stack are two- and three-light casement windows on the first floor. To the right is a three-light mullioned oriel with transoms, featuring carved decoration on the mullions and transoms, and many small panes of glass. A slate pentice and diamond slate sill are present, alongside a two-light casement window below. A canted bay is set into the angle with the stack to the left, again with a slate pentice. A 3-light casement window from the early 19th century is located beyond. The entrance is on the right side of the gable, which has been extended to form a porch. A carved wooden lintel and a 20th-century plank door are present. A blank panel above the oriel to the right is believed to have once been a date stone. A lancet window on the left return illuminates a spiral stair beside the chimney. The interior was not inspected.
