Description
Apple Tree Cottage is a mid-19th century house located on Church Street, Alcombe, Minehead. Originally known as The Laurels, it has a wedge-shaped plan. The front of the house is rubble stone, rendered and painted, with a slate roof and a brick stack to the rear right. The two-storey house has an attic and a three-window front. A 20th-century central door is set within a gabled porch, flanked by 19th-century plate-glass sash windows and a 20th-century casement window to the right. A smaller window is located in the attic. The triangular rubble stone return wall on Church Street is set at an obtuse angle and features one window to each floor. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
