Description
Woodlands Farmhouse is a farmhouse that is predominantly from the 17th century, although its core is earlier, with some later alterations. It is built from coursed and squared lias and Ham stone ashlar, topped with a double-Roman tiled roof featuring coped verges, one of which has a ball finial while the other has a base for a ball finial. The building has two storeys and a through-passage plan, with three bays on each side.
The first floor has 3-light casements from several periods, while the ground floor features 2 and 4-light moulded stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels, some of which have iron casements and leaded lights. The window on the extreme right includes a transom. The door opening is located between the bay sets and is framed in a moulded surround with a 4-centred arch head. There is a gabled lias porch with Ham stone dressings and a tiled roof with a coped verge and an onion finial. The outer door opening has a slightly cambered lintel. Inside, there is a moulded framed ceiling.
