Description

The John Blacker monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard next to the tower of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. It dates back to 1768, marking the earliest inscription for John Blacker. The monument is made of dressed stone and features an oblong chest that rests on a moulded stone plinth. It has corner urn pilasters and inscriptions on the north and south sides. The top of the tomb is a slab that is moulded around its outer edge.
