Description
There are two monuments in the churchyard located about 12 meters north of the east end of the chancel of the Church of St. John the Baptist. These are chest tombs. The first is for Mary Drew, who died in 1768. It is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge, a fluted frieze, and quarter rectangular gadrooned corner balusters with fluted stems. The sides and ends are plain, and it has a moulded base. There is a later inscription on one end, and the tomb is very well preserved. The second monument to the west is plain and has no inscription. It also has a flat lid with a moulded edge, resting on a plain solid base made of coursed, squared stone.
