Description
Glyniddens is a house built in 1830 for J.D., featuring Flemish bond brickwork, a slate roof, and lead hips. The building has an 'L' plan with a three-window front and side, and it is two storeys tall with an angle infilled single-storey section. The front of the house is positioned at right angles to the road and includes an off-centre six-panel door on the left, with the top four panels glazed. Above the door is a three-pane rectangular fanlight, all sheltered by a trellis porch with a hipped tiled roof. There are sash windows on either side of the door, each with a stone sill, a single-piece stone lintel, splayed ends, and a dummy projecting keystone. To the left, there is an end of a conservatory with a half-glazed wall and a hipped slated lean-to roof. On the first floor, there are two similar windows with a wide plastered soffit to the eaves. The house has external chimneys at each end, both with hipped roofs. The right return along the road features a datestone on the chimney and two sash windows per floor, mirroring the front, with a gable chimney on the right return.
