Description

The Blackman tomb, located 7 yards south of the Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb dated 1796. It is constructed from dressed stone and features a moulded plinth on a wide base, with panelled sides, gadrooned baluster corners, and a corniced lid. The tomb is inscribed to Mary Blackman, who died in 1796.
