GV II

Barn and fives wall. C18 and C19. Local stone rubble with some ashlar dressings; plain clay tile roof, over stone slate base courses on South side. Barn of 5 bays, with door and 2 small shuttered windows, possibly C18, in North wall, and various later openings in South wall, with one raked and two stepped buttresses. The East wall of barn extended upwards, with diagonal buttresses having offsets, and tiled coping : this could be C17, but local tradition says it was built by or for the French prisoners, who were allowed to use the former Windmill Inn (to East and not included in the listing), between 1805 and 1815, and intended for the Basque game of pelota.
