Description
67 and 69 High Street are two shops with dwellings, built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of painted brick and feature a shallow-pitched pantile roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, with a four-window range. The upper floor windows have flat arches and are fitted with plate-glass sashes that include margin panes. The second-floor windows are positioned at eaves level, while the taller first-floor windows have cills that sit above a 20th-century shop fascia and front. At the rear, facing St Mary Street, there are flat gauged brick arches above 20th-century windows; three on the second floor, two on the sides of the first floor, and one on the right of the ground floor, which also has a 20th-century door to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
