Description

Elm Tree Cottage is a detached cottage dated 1725. It is built of local stone, rendered and colorwashed, with a thatched roof featuring a coped west gable and brick chimney stacks. The cottage has two storeys and three bays. The windows are horizontal bar casements, with a three-light window in the first bay and two-light windows in the other bays. There are added windows below the upper windows, which are cut into the thatch. Between the first and second bays, there is a pair of glazed doors under a timber lintel. A datestone reading "1.P.1725" is located under the eaves between the second and third bays. There is a 20th-century extension to the east. The interior has not been seen.
