Description
Hill Ash Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from Cary stone that is cut and squared, with a thatched roof featuring coped gables and rendered brick chimney stacks. The building is L-shaped, consisting of two storeys with an attic and three bays. It has small pane casement windows, all of which are 2-light and appear to be in their original openings, set under concrete lintels. The central bay features a 6-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, and is sheltered by a flat lead-covered hood supported by timber brackets. There is a brick and rendered extension at the rear with a corrugated iron roof, which is not of special interest. The interior has not been seen. The farmhouse is included in the listing primarily for its group value within the hamlet.
