Description

Old Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating to 1770. It is constructed from local stone rubble, with a thatched roof on the east gable and a coped west gable. The roof is covered with slate, and the farmhouse has brick and stone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has six bays. A single first-floor window is present on this side; it is a three-light horizontal bar casement with an iron-framed opening light in the upper bay four. Below it, similar windows are found in bays two and three, the latter being a two-light window. Early 20th-century casements are in bays five and six. Boarded doors are set in heavy frames in bays one and four, the latter accessed via a timber and thatched open porch. A datestone inscribed 'L/JM/1770' sits above the door in bay one. To the left of the main house is a single-storey projecting wing with a half-hipped slate roof. The interior was not inspected.
