The George Prior chest tomb, located about 5 metres west of the tower of the Church of St James, is a Grade II listed structure. This chest tomb, which commemorates George Prior who died in 1814, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of ashlar sandstone and features a moulded plinth, a moulded cornice, and a flat top. This tomb is part of a notable group of chest tombs in the area.
