Description

Halse Village Shute and boundary wall to the north of North Brook is a well head dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of red sandstone and features a round-headed chamfered arch with stone jambs and a stone sill, which supports a wooden doorway. Below the arch, there is a stone trough. The structure stands approximately 1.5 metres tall, and water flows through a 20th-century pipe located below the well head opening.
