The Black Horse and Myrtle Tree Inns is a single building, likely dating from the mid-19th century. It stands three storeys high, with stucco on the left side and painted brick on the right. The roof is slate and hipped to the left, featuring eaves that extend out. On the left side, there are three windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars. To the right, there are two paired triple-light windows set under segmental heads, also with sash windows and glazing bars. The ground floor on the right includes a small bay and a round-headed doorway, which features a six-panel door. To the left, there are double three-panel doors.
