Description

No 5 on St James Street is an early to mid-19th century building. It has two storeys and is constructed of painted brick with an old tiled roof and eaves. The façade features three windows, although the centre window on the first floor is blocked. The ground floor includes a small shop window to the right, and there is a central round-headed door topped with a semi-circular fanlight, although the door itself is modern. This building, along with Nos 5 to 8 and 8A, forms a group of structures that are of local interest, together with Nos 2A, 3, and 4.
