Description

Yarde House and Northtown House is a large mid to late 19th-century building located on the corner of Staplegrove Road and Wood Street. The house stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brown brick with ashlar dressings. It features a cornice and blocking course with a handrail, and has a slate roof. The building includes thick sill bands and panelled pilasters, with six windows, one of which is curved at the corner. All windows have banded voussoirs and rusticated surrounds on the ground floor. The sashes are fitted with glazing bars. There are also two round-headed doorways, both with rusticated surrounds, leading to six-panel doors.
