Description
29 Sadler Street is a house dating from the later 18th century. It has a rendered exterior with stone dressings and is colourwashed, topped by a triple roll clay tiled roof featuring a stepped coped gable to the south and an abutment to the north, along with brick chimney stacks.
The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. It has a plinth, keyed quoin to the south, and an eaves moulding. The windows are sash style with 12 panes, and the first-floor windows are larger than those on the ground floor. The doorway is located in the third bay and features a six-panel door with a narrow rectangular fanlight, all set within a stone surround that includes plain Doric pilasters and an entablature with a flat hood. There is a footscraper to the left of the door. The roof has two flat-roofed dormers, each with 2-light 6-pane casements, positioned centrally between the bays. The interior has not been inspected.
