Description

Guinea Hall is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is rendered and has a slate roof, standing two storeys high. The building features a rendered plat band and a painted moulded eaves cornice with modillions beneath a plain parapet. The quoins are also rendered, and the facade slightly breaks back to the left of the centre. The roof is hipped and there are two stacks at the rear.

The front has a regular arrangement of four windows, each with recessed 24-pane sashes set in moulded architraves that include keystones and blind boxes. One window is within a recess, while one is to the left and two are to the right. The ground floor has similar windows with shouldered architraves, and there is one window on each floor of the left gable end. The entrance features panelled double doors in a recessed bay, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars. A shallow porch is formed by elongated panelled pilasters with fluted tops and a broken-based triangular pediment.

To the left, there is a rear wing that is recessed from the left gable end and constructed of painted brick. This wing also has two storeys and a plain parapet, with irregular fenestration that includes three recessed 12-pane sashes with splayed painted brick voussoirs and a tall round-headed Gothic staircase window. A recessed panelled door is located beneath the staircase window, featuring a moulded architrave and a rectangular fanlight. There is a lower addition with three windows on the gable end of the wing. The interior has not been inspected.
