Description
27 Sadler Street is a house with a shop, featuring an early 18th-century front built over earlier materials. The building is rendered over rubble and has a slate roof with brick stacks. It has a front range with a wing at the rear, and the left-hand stack is situated between these two sections.
The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. On the right side, there is a panelled door beneath a three-pane transom light, framed by a moulded architrave and topped with a closed pediment supported by consoles. The ground floor has 12-pane sash windows in plain reveals, while the first floor features flush box sash windows. There are also two flat-roofed dormers of early design, each with small two-light casements and three-pane overlights above.
The interior has not been inspected but is reported to be of interest.
