House attached to rear and formerly part of No.25 (qv). Rubble and pantile. Some C17 internal fabric, refronted late C18 or early C19, substantially restored late C20. 2-room single-depth plan with central staircase, and symmetrical front. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows with two 12-pane replacement sashes flanking a blind opening above a flat canted bay and 16-pane sash with central C19 part-glazed door. INTERIOR: the ground floor retains 3 rough deep-chamfered beams, and the room to the left has a deep niche, possibly a former window opening; the renewed winder staircase includes a part-glazed screen removed from a chapel in Union Street. At the head of the stair is an C18 fielded 3-panel door. The first floor has small bressumer fireplace, with segmental head and stopped ends, and further rough beams. The upper winder stair is of the early fabric, and the 3-bay roof has heavy tie-beams with late C20 steel props, and one purlin.
