Description
This is a two-building section of terrace, numbers 1 to 5, built in 1807. The houses are three stories high with a basement, constructed from pinkish-brown brick. Plain pilasters divide the buildings. They have hipped slate roofs concealed behind parapets. Each house has two windows, with sash windows featuring glazing bars. The ground floor has round-headed openings, and the first floor has segmental iron balconies. The doorways are round-headed, with simple surrounds, and feature traceried fanlights above the doors. The doors themselves are good quality, made of six panels in two leaves. Attached railings define the forecourts and flank the basement steps. Number 1 has been partially rebuilt. The listed buildings forming the Crescent are considered to have group value when viewed alongside numbers 14 and Wall Bath Place and the Dragon Book Shop on Corporation Street.
