Description
The farm buildings adjoining Appley Court Farmhouse date from the early to mid 19th century and are constructed of local slate rubble with slate roofs. There are two L-shaped blocks, referred to as Block A and Block B, which are connected on the southeast side by a wall that partially divides Block B, creating a linhay. Block A features a longer side with two storeys and five segment-headed arched openings leading to the byre, along with a loft door above and an adjoining cartshed. Block B is a hipped, two-storey building with openings on each floor that project into the foldyard, and it has a three-bay linhay attached, supported by stone piers and a king post roof. The outer bay beyond the foldyard is used as a coachhouse.
