Description

The Farewell chest tomb, located in the churchyard 2 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is a memorial to John Farewell, dated 1682. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features corner pilasters along with a central pilaster strip on each side. Each end of the tomb has a recessed stone panel adorned with dentil decoration around the edge. A dedicatory inscription is present on the west end, and the tomb is topped with a slab.
