Description

This is a footbridge with a ford alongside, located 20 metres south of the road bridge in Lower Kingsbury, Milborne Port. The exact date of construction is uncertain, but it is likely to be pre-1856, which is the year the road bridge was built. The footbridge features local stone piers and large flagstones that span four arches, and it does not have a handrail. The ford next to the bridge has concrete ramps leading into the stream. This structure holds significant group value as it is an important feature in the centre of the settlement.
