Group of 4 headstones: a) Unidentified headstone about 10 metres south of south transept. Early Cl8. Ham stone, about 750mm x 900mm x 110mm thick, chamfered back; semi-circular arched top with sidescrolls, framing an angel head; ornate border to single panel. Inscription very worn in parts, but death date 1709. b) Unidentified headstone about 12 metres south of south transept. Early C18. Ham stone, about one metre x one metre x 120mm thick. Symmetrical top of 3 semi-circular arched recesses, two with angel heads, the centre squeezed, with an hour-glass, the carvings well proud of face of stone; sidescrolls, ornate band and drop. Inscriptions worn. c) Griffin headstone about 10 metres south of south transept. Early C19. Ham stone, about 1000mm x 1250mm x 120mm thick, chamfered back. Trefoil top; incised border only. Commemorates Hannah Griffen, died 1803, and others. d) Unidentified headstone about 11 metres south of south transept. Mid C18. Ham stone, about one metre x one metre x 120mm thick. chamfered back; two oval panels with rectangular panel under, side scrolls; above, a central hourglass and skull with crossbones, flanked by 2 angles blowing trumpets. Inscriptions very worn. Fine monument, unusual type in area.
