Description

This barn, located 8 meters east of Higher Rocke's Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and displays irregular window and door openings. On the ground floor, there are 2-light wooden mullioned windows and three door openings with plank doors. The first floor includes two hay-loft doors. An exposed rubble staircase is situated on the right return. Inside, the barn retains its original 17th-century roof trusses.
