Description
Kerdon Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was enlarged in the early 20th century. It features a rendered exterior that is grooved to resemble ashlar, a thatched roof, and a large external rendered stack with a brick oven projection on the facade, along with a tall brick chimney and outer brick stacks. The building has a two-cell plan with a gabled one-bay projection added to the left in the early 20th century. It is two stories high and has four bays. The windows are modern, with two and three-light metal casements featuring glazing bars, while a wooden two-light casement is located to the left of the central external stack. There are also two flat-headed dormers, and the outer windows have wooden lintels painted to look like rusticated voussoirs. The gable end is barge boarded, and the entrance is through a 20th-century extension on the right. Inside, there are chamfered beams with enriched stops and a four-centred arch doorway in the room to the left of the external stack, which is likely the original entrance.
