Description

This boundary enclosure, dating from the 17th century, is located 70 meters east of the Church Without Dedication in Low Ham. It is constructed from cut and squared lias stone and extends 290 meters southwards before turning 120 meters westwards, with an average height of about 2 meters. The enclosure is believed to be associated with the warren of the 17th century Low Ham Manor House, which was initiated by the Lord of the Manor in the 1680s as an elaborate reconstruction of an earlier house, although it was never completed and was later demolished.
