Description
This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 7 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Peter, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from dressed lias and Ham stone. The tomb features a classic oblong shape set on a moulded plinth, with end pilasters on the north and south sides that display figures of grotesque angels on colonnettes. There is an additional similar pilaster at the centre of the north side. The top of the tomb is a hipped slab, which is moulded around its lower edge. The inscriptions on both the east and west ends are much decayed.
